VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Katherine

Dr Katherine

My name is Katherine, I am an English vet living on the Sunny Coast. I have been qualified for 15 years and have a particular interest in Small Animal and Exotic Emergency Medicine and General Practice.

As a lover of pets, people and veterinary medicine, I strive to help pet owners better understand how they can help their animals from home and when they may need to take them into a vet clinic for further treatment.

If you are looking for friendly and professional advice about how we can help your pet feel better, then please get in touch and we can make a plan together.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Joss

Dr Joss

Growing up in the NT & QLD on large cattle stations, Dr Joss was forever 'surprising' her family by bringing home animals, from dingo pups to brumbies! It was only natural that she pursued a career as a vet. Graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2011, she spent 5 years in SW Victoria in mixed dairy practice, then as a locum in many mixed, small animal, equine and dairy practices around Australia. She now calls the Macedon Ranges home working in mixed animal practice for the past 2 years.

She has a special interest in production animals, equine medicine and small animal medicine and imaging and enjoys spending time with her family on their farm, playing sports or planning their next travel adventure.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Jemma

Dr Jemma

Dr Jemma is a small animal veterinarian who has worked in general and emergency practice over the past five years. Jemma grew up in rural New South Wales with many pets on a small hobby farm. She has swapped the Blue Mountains for the Yorkshire Dales; and spending the last 12 months working and exploring the English countryside.

She is a passionate advocate for animal welfare, with a particular interest in geriatric pet health, including management of osteoarthritis, creating the best quality of life possible for older pets. She supports owners with end-of-life care, difficult decision making, preparing for euthanasia and post-euthanasia advice and support.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Nora

Dr Nora

Dr Nora has been working in small animal general practice since she graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2012. Her interests are dog and cat internal medicine and behaviour, and also watching random YouTube videos of unlikely animal friends!

In her spare time, she loves the great outdoors and can often be found hiking and camping as far from the city as the weekend allows. She is currently slave to a small feline mastermind called Chonk but has had many canine companions throughout her life.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Alison

Dr Alison

Dr Alison has more than 20 years of experience working in New Zealand, the UK, and the Pacific Islands. She has taught veterinary students at the Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, investigating complex medical cases alongside veterinary specialists. Her professional interests include managing skin problems and allergies, and pretty much anything to do with cats including medical conditions and behaviour concerns.

As her house is managed by a beautiful Siamese, she realises how important it is to make vet clinic visits a less stressful event for cats especially. She looks forward to meeting you and your fur family soon.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Dimitris

Dr Dimitris

Dr Dimitris qualified from the Department of Veterinary Medicine of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in 2015. VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Nick

Dr Nick

Dr Nick graduated from Bristol Vet School in 2001 and worked in mixed practice in Devon as an assistant before becoming a partner, running the practice for 15 years. He developed an interest in dermatology and the challenges supporting clients in helping to look after pets with complex long term conditions. He learnt to stay away from orthopaedics after his first few attempts at carpentry.

Outside of the clinic he is a father, husband and hoping to get back to dancing and sailing following a broken hip.

Mendez School of Veterinary Technology as an associate professor teaching anatomy, dentistry and clinical skills. He also worked as a veterinarian for a small animal clinic whose focus was preventive medicine where he developed a love for Oncology. He recently completed a small animal rotating internship at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr Carlos enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include boating, deep-sea fishing, swimming, and spending time outdoors.

VetCheck Vet Nurses Dr Cindy

Dr Cindy

At 8 years old Dr Cindy's life was changed by helping to pour blue antiseptic on an injured rooster. She had no idea what that 'blue stuff' was but can still tell you what she was wearing. Drawn to animals in need, she was happiest when she could rescue an injured bird or search for a lost pet and return it back to its family.

Her passion got her through her schooling at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and after more than 25 years in practice, she is still learning and improving. Whether it is preventative health care to keep animals healthy, helping a new life enter the world, performing a life-saving surgery, or assisting an old friend to pass with peace and dignity, she loves making a difference every day.
